While  using WCSF to create a  demo solution, it will create a web site project. But in really word, we will use web application project instead of web site project. Whether there is a way to convert the web site project to web application project?

WCSF has the option for building web sites or web applications.  In the Nnew Project dialog under Guidance Package Projects -> Web Client Developement... there are two types of Web Client Solution for both VB and C#.  The Web Site and the WAP (or Web Application Project).
Choose the WAP project and you should be set.

Hi Michael, was wondering if you could highlight any tricks to switching an existing web site over to a web app project type?  I tried doing so with a small POC app, however, the DI didn't appear to be working afterwards.  I derived from WebClientApplication and used the same web.config, however, I'm wondering if there are some other conventions that I would need to follow.  Just trying to understand any differences the wizard/guidance package is doing underneath.

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't have experience with this kind of scenarios, but I believe you can find the following MSDN article useful:
