QuickStarts\PageFlow -> CustomersApprovalPageFlow.cs throws exception

I got this error:

Error loading workflow.

The type initializer for "Microsoft.Practices.PageFlow.WorkflowFoundation.Activities.PageFlow" threw an exception.

Any ideas why this happens? Has been like this for the last releases.

I saw this too for the first time yesterday. At the time, though, I did have the Page Flow app block assemblies open in .NET Reflector, and as it was the static constructor that was failing I thought this could be related...

I closed Reflector and restarted Visual Studio and it seemed to correct the issue.

No amount of cleans, builds, or rebuilds sorted it before I resorted to a VS restart. I also didn't dig into what happens in this initialiser - so little time, so many tasks :-)

Anyone any suggestions?

After re-reading that noticed neither of us mentioned that this message is displayed in place of the WF designer in Visual Studio... I assume yours was the same Benny?

I also get this problem. Anyone found a fix yet?

It seems that a full rebuild of the solution usually fixes this. If the rebuild fails follow it with a restart of VS.net. Still dont know what the cause is.
