Adding Authorization Rules that have spaces in the AD user or group names

Mar 3, 2008 at 1:12 AM
If active directory domain group names can have spaces then you MUST allow the ability to use domain group names with spaces in authorization rules.

The following rule throws an exception (Found token "end of file" when expecting word at position 55).

<rules>
<add expression="R:mydomain\domain admins" name="AllowFullAdminAccess"/>
</rules>

I know this is an enterprise library function however since you seem so absent minded and ego-code-centric about having no plans for unity while enterprise library 4 will extend it by april you might as well fix whats wrong in 3 because you now own it.

Have you opened a work item/issue in the Enterprise Library codeplex site? If not, the team may not know about it, and it might not be fixed in 4.0.

The nice thing about all our software factories, and enterprise library is that you have the source code and can make whatever changes you want for your scenario.

I thought i opened one up in the issue tracker about a year ago but if I did it would have been opened up here and not at the Enterprise Library work site. Thanks for clearing that up.
