I'm trying to figure out the best practice for populating dropdowns within WCSF.

What are soem ways in doing this? I have potentially alot of dropdowns that need to be populated and I'm not sure setting up entities and using OCDS is the best way to deal with it. What are some best practices in dealing with this?

Hi Pat.

You don’t need to use a ObjectContainerDataSource.
In order to populate a DropDown, all you have to do is set the DataSource property of the DropDown in the View.

For example:

public IEnumerable<State> States
{
     set
     {
          StateDropDown.DataSource = value;
          StateDropDown.DataBind();
     }
}

Thanks.
