Necessity for persistent db settings

Hi, we are starting to apply WCSF for web apps. Our DBA raises the following questions wrt the CreatePersistenceDatabase.sql script

1) why is FullText service enabled ?
code in script:
IF (1 = FULLTEXTSERVICEPROPERTY('IsFullTextInstalled'))
begin
EXEC PageFlowPersistenceStore.dbo.sp_fulltext_database @action = 'enable'

Seems unnecessary for the purpose of this db; which is to only maintain pageflow state, during (web)sessions time. It is not intended for search purposes.

2) why is recovery set to Simple ?
Implication of this is that only a full backup is possible; not incrementals.

My assumption is that the explanation of this last is that in fact backup is not of interest for this state db; the content is intentionally rather volatile. And than "simple" is the lowest value for the recovery setting.
Is this correct ?

Feel free to change these setting to match your needs. If I recall correctly, we just had SQL Server export the script, so these settings are whatever our server was configured for.
