I was wondering whether there was any planned support for the Web Application Project? (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/asp.net/aa336618.aspx)

I can successfully implement a WCSF-based solution using this website alternative, but it would nice to have the recipies too.

Cheers,
Adrian.

Can you explain how you were able to implement the Web Application Project?

We have not added Web Application Project support, yet. It is high on our proposed list for the second release of the WCSF. If you really want this feature, please vote for it in the Issue Tracker.

As far as the supported Web Site projects (the standard out-of-the-box in VS2005 web site), the code for the Guidance Package should show how (relatively) easy it was to add support.

I have modified the Guidance Package to generate and work with a Web Application project. You can download the source code of the package on my site:

Feedback is very much appreciated!
