Hi,

We are trying to use the Page flow block in Web application having only six pages , wizard like application. When ever we try to start the pageflow for the first time or reload the page flow from where the user has exited its taking at least 15 seconds.

Could you please provide some help / guidance.

Thanks

Hi Subu.

Does this happen to you with all other web applications that use the Page Flow Application Block?
Please, check with PageFlow and PageFlowWithShoppingCart QuickStarts to see if the problem occurs.

You will find information on how to run the QuickStarts in the following topics of the WCSF documentation:
  • Page Flow (QuickStart) (Inspecting the Software Factory Assets -> QuickStarts -> Page Flow)
  • Page Flow with Shopping Cart (QuickStart) (Inspecting the Software Factory Assets -> QuickStarts -> Page Flow with Shopping Cart)

I have also had performance problems with the PageFlow. In some cases our app can take well over a minute to load. I've traked it down to serializing objects into the database when saving state. For example, PageFlow.UsedData"name" = Object, our object is not massive, but it appears to be very slow serializing and deserializing objects.

Do you have any ideas?
