Hello there,

I'm trying to use the DAAB 2.0 in one of my modules of WCSF. My problem is that DAAB CreateDatabase method takes the connection string from the ConnectionStrings section in the Website web.config file. For modularity, i want it to take the connection string from the module web.config file. Does anybody know how can i achieve that?

Hi!

You can try with this…
Open the web.config file located in the module’s website folder and add your connection string, for example:

<connectionStrings>
                <add name="MyBusinessModuleConnectionString" connectionString="Server=localhost;Integrated Security=True;Database=Contoso;Persist Security Info=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
</connectionStrings>

Then, in your Business Module you can call the CreateDatabase method, passing the “MyBusinessModuleConnectionString” argument:

DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase(“MyBusinessModuleConnectionString”);

Hope it helps!

This is the 1st thing i tried to do, but it doens't work. It seems the DAAB only looks at the website web.config file
