Hi all,
I really want to use the WCSF in a very comming soon project in my company. I'm very worry about this decision of future problems , support , new technologies that replace this WCSF like the Acropolise wich will replace the SCSF and CAB. Also ORCAS support.
Please , help me with further information and links for real world applications used WCSF.

Thnaks in advance...

Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. Anytime you rely on a 3rd party tool, framework, component, etc., you risk the chance that it may not be around tomorrow. I would just evaluate WCSF as it is now to develop current applications.

The good new is:

  • It is Free
  • It comes with Source Code
  • It looks like we will have a WCSF v2.0
  • Microsoft is working on a GAT/GAX for Visual Studio 2008

You probably won't find a lot of real-world applications on it yet, since it is pretty new and most developers are probably waiting for WCSF 1.1 to be released.
